The Story
The origin of this story comes from one of the oldest Japanese
myth "Kojiki". We are picking up one of the story "Amano Iwato"
from Kojiki.
In ancient times, there was a reckless God Known "Susanoo-no-mikoto"
who governed Sea. Some day he missed his old sisters, he decided to go to Takaamahara
where his sisters governed. After careful considertration, his oldest sister,
"Amaterasu-oomikami (Sun Goddess)" decided to accept him.
After he moved in, he commited many black deeds. Amaterasu was so disappointed
and she hid herself in the Amano-iwato cave.
As a result, Heaven and Earth entered total darkness; the universe was entirely
without light. Because no one was able to open the door of the cave, many Takaama-hara
Gods were at a loss as to what to do.
Let's see how they let her out of the cave and get back the light to the universe!
